Job summary

SAS seeks a Principal Embedded Technical Customer Advisor to partner with strategic Financial Services customers in North America from Cary HQ, with hybrid options or remote work from Chicago. You will translate business challenges into scalable SAS architectures and PoVs, guiding adoption and platform evolution.

In this highly visible role, you’ll mentor others, coordinate with sales and product teams, and ensure security policies support SAS development goals while driving measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, business, CS or related field.
• 12+ years in technical sales, solutions architecture, systems engineering or similar.
• Proven experience influencing executives within large Financial Services orgs.
• Expertise in change enablement, user adoption, and value tracking measures.
• Experience integrating analytics into enterprise decisioning engines.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep workshops mapping client environments to SAS ecosystems.
• Serve as on-site SME, recommending best practices for SAS solutions.
• Develop demonstrations, prototypes and value proofs using client data.
• Partner with Account Executives on retention and post-sale expansion.
• Coordinate with sales, pre‑sales, support and product teams to optimize deployments.
