Job summary

Konik is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead embedded software, applications, and connected solutions for HVAC and refrigeration products in Minneapolis. This hands-on leadership role drives product development from concept to production and mentors engineers across software initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings extensive embedded firmware, mobile/desktop app development, and full lifecycle ownership experience, with strong C++, C#, VB.NET/ASP.NET and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded firmware and mobile/desktop app development.
• Experience with full software lifecycle from concept through launch.
• Strong C++, C#, VB.NET/ASP.NET or similar tech.
• Experience with Android and iOS app development.
• Embedded systems development and software integration.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Leadership and multi-priority management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development for new product introductions and improvements.
• Design, develop, test, and support embedded firmware and apps.
• Serve as technical leader, guiding design decisions end-to-end.
• Own project software goals, milestones, and tasks breakdown.
• Mentor junior engineers with guidance and coaching.
• Develop specs, test plans, and validation for reliable performance.
• Support product development activities and production implementation.
• Provide production support for software issues in manufacturing.
• Maintain production software documentation and records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle.
