Job summary

Senior Software Integration Engineer Embedded Systems in Sterling Heights, MI (onsite) is needed for a defense contractor. The role pays $55.00–$62.95 per hour and requires the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance. Temp to Hire with a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities include integrating hardware modules into combat vehicle systems, integrating software on Linux, scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening, troubleshooting, and verification testing. Military familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in software integration for embedded systems.
• Experience testing software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Packaging software as RPMs and binaries.
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming.
• Experience with Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Knowledge of Git and Jira/Gitlab for CM.

Responsibilities

• Integrates and tests software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components of a combat vehicle system.
• Applies Ethernet and CAN bus knowledge to test and troubleshoot problems.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to investigate issues and analyze data.
• Ensures technical approach meets engineering principles and customer requirements.
