Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded hardware and firmware for the Nomad Total Command platform and other Nomad products.

You will work with C/C++, Linux environments, and Ethernet, CAN, SPI, UART interfaces, pursuing deterministic real-time behavior, hardware bring-up, and cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, software, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Basic networking knowledge (Ethernet, CAN, etc.).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years embedded systems engineering experience.
• Exposure to RTOS such as FreeRTOS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support embedded hardware and firmware for Nomad Total Command (NTC) and other Nomad platforms.
• Develop firmware and control logic using C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors.
• Write logic bridging embedded hardware with Nomad software using C/C++ and other languages.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, networking interfaces, and operator control systems.
• Work in Linux-based environments, including containerized environments (Docker).
• Participate in design reviews, testing, validation, and root cause analysis.
