Job summary

Palladyne AI is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to build Linux-based software for Pilot and SwarmOS products. In this role you will own embedded development for real-time robotics systems, collaborating with hardware teams to ensure reliable operation on customer deployments.

This is a hands-on role with ownership and opportunities to grow. You’ll tackle multithreading, interprocess communication, and performance optimization, delivering secure, high-quality software with modern C++

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software experience with Linux-based systems.
• BS degree in computer science, software/elec engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ including multithreading and UNIX calls.
• Experience with system-level programming and performance optimization.
• Git experience and ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Own and independently develop embedded software for Linux-based robotic systems.
• Develop software for Palladyne AI’s Pilot and SwarmOS products.
• Drive software-hardware integration and resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate with hardware and other engineering teams to validate on physical robots.
• Meet performance, security, reliability, and real-time requirements.
