Job summary

CHIRP Robotics in Torrance, CA seeks a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with a hardware focus to lead electrical system design and development for highly embedded products. You will own PCB layout, RF design, timing closure, and signal integrity considerations across complex boards.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, coordinating with manufacturing, and developing firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers and Arduino platforms using C++.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Location: Torrance, CA.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems, PCB schematics/layout, and system integration.
• Perform root-cause analysis and debugging of hardware and firmware using oscilloscope, multimeter, and logic analyzer.
• Work with SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet protocols across high-speed designs.
• Manage project scheduling and lead design reviews with manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate on mechanical-electrical integration for SMT and assembly.
• Develop firmware for ARM-based systems and Arduino platforms using C++.
