Job summary

Spin.Works is seeking an experienced embedded systems engineer to contribute to end-to-end development of intelligent payloads for nano-satellites. You will analyze requirements and implement embedded designs from concept to hardware, and help integrate hardware and software across subsystems.

The role covers PCB design, real-time embedded software testing and verification, with exposure to SpaceWire, Ethernet, CAN, SPI and I2C.

Qualifications

Degree in computer sciences, electronics or robotics engineering (or equivalent).
Experience in embedded system design from concept to hardware.
Experience in PCB design and testing.
Experience in real-time embedded software development and testing.
Familiarity with standard interface protocols such as Ethernet, SpaceWire, RS-422, CAN, SPI and I2C.
C/C++ programming experience.
Experience with VHDL and FPGA design tools is preferred.
Experience in Java or Android programming.
Independent English speaker.

Responsibilities

Requirements analysis and definition, analysis and implementation of embedded system designs from concept to hardware.
Design, analysis, documentation, verification, and test of digital electronics hardware for aerospace applications including command and control, data compression and storage, signal processing, and communications.
Design, test, and delivery of printed circuit boards.
Design, analysis, development and test of real-time embedded software applications.
