Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer in Seattle, WA to architect and implement software for satellite systems. You will craft high-reliability embedded software, collaborate with hardware, RF, and operations teams, and drive the full embedded stack from drivers to application code.

You will lead system-level design, work across the stack, and help shape our next-generation satellite platform in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering embedded systems for production hardware, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Strong C and Python proficiency for embedded work.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, kernel drivers, and Yocto/build systems.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality Python and C for satellite command scripts and embedded apps.
• Design and maintain embedded Linux systems for payloads.
• Develop hardware drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet.
• Lead hardware bring-up with electrical engineers to validate designs.
• Design software mindful of radiation, thermal, and power constraints.
