Axon is seeking an Embedded Application Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded applications and networking configurations for our body‑worn and in‑car devices. You will work closely with product managers, designers and firmware engineers to deliver robust software with high stability and low latency.

You will mentor teammates, participate in architecture decisions, and explore open source technologies to keep Axon at the forefront of public safety technology.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software development in C/C++, Go, Python or similar systems programming language.
• Experience with Embedded development.
• 5+ years writing unit, integration and/or system level tests.
• 2+ years mentoring junior team members and/or leading small teams.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, OOD).
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, tunneling) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test and maintain embedded applications and networking configurations for Axon devices.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to build customer‑focused solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and code reviews to set technical standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
• Evaluate and integrate open source technologies to meet product requirements.
• Contribute to software engineering processes and long‑term planning.
