LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the full software life cycle from concept to end-of-life. You will work on embedded real-time systems, Linux-based platforms, and industrial data communications, guiding junior engineers and coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes architecture, testing, and feature development across SoC, DSP, and FPGA domains, with a strong focus on reliability and high uptime for critical equipment.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in EE/CS/CE with 10+ years in full software lifecycle.
• Strong C/C++ and OS/Linux knowledge.
• Experience with embedded Linux build frameworks (Yocto/Buildroot).
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and industrial protocols.
• Embedded real-time software development experience.
• Experience with hardware/software co-design.
• Windows and Linux application development experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and capture requirements with customers.
• Develop software architectures for complex needs.
• Use state-of-the-art techniques to design apps for new products.
• Take ownership of and maintain subsystems.
• Contribute features and bug fixes to systems.
• Develop understanding of SoC, DSP, FPGA components.
• Partition large projects into delegable tasks.
• Develop testing strategies for complex apps.
• Manage product life-cycle trajectory.
• Participate in code reviews and QA/QC processes.
• Mentor junior engineers.
