Job summary

Server Products is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer III to own system-level architecture and drive high-impact development initiatives. You will mentor junior engineers, influence cross-functional decisions, and represent engineering in customer-facing scenarios.

Responsibilities include leading core embedded software design, debugging complex issues, and collaborating with mechanical, QA, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions. Travel <10% as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development.
• Expert in C/C++ with deep RTOS and peripheral driver knowledge.
• Strong experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet communications.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, board-level debugging and testing.
• Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts to diagnose faults.
• Willingness to travel (<10%) to customer sites as needed.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and drive technical coaching.
• Capable of system-level architecture and cross-functional alignment.
• Proven track record delivering reliable embedded solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of core embedded software modules and system features.
• Drive architecture discussions and long-term technical planning.
• Debug cross-layer issues across hardware, firmware, and integration.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to validate system functionality.
• Set and enforce code quality, docs, and development processes.
• Represent the team in product management, QA, and manufacturing reviews.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and support on-site demos.
• Evaluate new technologies and methods aligned with product goals.
• Provide risk assessments and assist with project planning at system level.
• Create clear technical docs and design reviews for stakeholders.
