Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Junior Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our team responsible for new product design, development, and introduction into production. Based at the Emerson Innovation Center, you will join a multidisciplinary group focused on Fisher branded products within Emerson Final Control.

You will learn and grow in a challenging development environment, contributing to automated and manual testing, defect tracking, and CI integration while collaborating with Firmware,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar.
• 7+ years Embedded Development and/or Embedded Test Development.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop test automation to improve efficiency and test coverage.
• Write manual and automated test procedures for features of low power, high reliability industrial process control devices.
• Champion other members of the test team to deliver quality products.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, etc to facilitate a cohesive group environment.
• Create and maintain a backlog of all work items within an Agile Environment.
• Log, track and investigate defects to determine root cause.
• Monitor, debug and enhance automated test infrastructure.
• Perform project and product documentation in accordance with departmental and company procedures and standards.
• Read, interpret, and implement engineering and industry standards.
