Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Junior/Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our team at the Emerson Innovation Center in Marshalltown, IA. You will contribute to new product design, development, and production introduction for Fisher branded products within Final Control.

This role offers growth in a multidisciplinary, hands-on environment focused on reliability and performance. You will define automated test strategies, write tests, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar experience
• 7+ years Embedded Development/Embedded Test Development

Responsibilities

• Define and develop test automation to improve efficiency and test coverage
• Write manual and automated test procedures for low power, high reliability industrial process control devices
• Champion other members of the test team to deliver quality products
• Collaborate with Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical teams to facilitate a cohesive group
• Create and maintain a backlog of work items within an Agile Environment
• Log, track and investigate defects to determine root cause
• Monitor, debug and enhance automated test infrastructure
• Perform project and product documentation per procedures and standards
• Read, interpret, and implement engineering and industry standards
