Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Software Project Engineer to lead firmware and software projects for aerospace systems. You will collaborate with software engineers, program managers, customers, and stakeholders to plan and manage fast-paced development lifecycle and ensure successful delivery.

The role emphasizes backlog health, standups, and effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences, with experience in embedded systems and DO‑178C preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience including at least 1 year embedded software development and 3 years software project management.
• Excellent communication skills tailored to audience.

Responsibilities

• Create software development plans within cost and schedule constraints.
• Lead planning meetings, retrospectives, and daily standups.
• Communicate project status to diverse stakeholders.
