Job summary

Magna Electronics in Southfield, Michigan seeks a Sr. Engineer, Software to lead development and maintenance of automotive embedded software (ADAS ECU) from concept to production.

You will be the primary technical interface for software engineering, guiding a team and coordinating with hardware and validation. The role requires a Masters in software engineering, 8+ years in automotive software, and at least 3 years in a leadership role with strong C/C++ on MCU/ARM.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in software engineering is required.
• 8+ years of experience in serial development for automotive software.
• At least 3 years in a software leadership role is required or desired.
• Strong knowledge of embedded C/C++ development and OS for MCU/ARM.

Responsibilities

• Development (design, implement, test and debug) of core/ application software for automotive embedded ECUs.
• Create/Maintain SW timeplan with milestones and deliverables; manage day-to-day team activities.
• Release software deliverables to engineering and manufacturing with required documents.
• Provide leadership to software team members and document software architectures; manage risks and continuous improvement.
