Job summary

Northrop Grumman in the United States is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop space flight software platforms for National Space Security programs. You will work with a team of engineers in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

This role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, and is 100% onsite. A Secret security clearance is required to start, with relocation assistance potentially available.

Qualifications

• Requires active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 10+ years OR PhD with 7+ years
• Advanced programming proficiency with C/C++, Python
• Understanding of embedded system tools, RTOS, avionics integration and test practices
• Experience with Stellar or CFS and Linux programming

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software modules and BSPs; configure device drivers
• Establish flight-software requirements, testing, and verification plans
• Work with multiple engineers to integrate spacecraft components and flight software
• Analyze system resources to improve efficiency, stability, and speed
• Prepare design documentation, test results and presentations for customers
