Job summary

IT Motives is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems with a focus on Linux/RTOS environments and embedded platforms.

The role requires experience with C/C++, Python, and TypeScript, plus familiarity with Qt and Yocto for custom Linux distributions. You will collaborate across engineering teams and participate in reviews and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience with 5+ years in software engineering.
• Proficient in C/C++, Python, TypeScript or similar languages.
• Familiar with Linux/RTOS and embedded system concepts.
• Experience with Qt and Yocto is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, troubleshoot, and debug software applications.
• Develop solutions by studying customer needs and competitive products.
• Coordinate design reviews and organize data/documentation for reviews.
• Thoroughly test software and coordinate verification tests with teams.
• Create and maintain software documentation with diagrams and flow charts.
• Possibly direct the work of teammates on small projects.
