Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in New Hampshire is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II to design and develop production-ready embedded code for new and legacy products. The role requires strong C/C++, RTOS expertise, and collaboration across software, hardware, NPI, and manufacturing teams; travel infrequent.

You will participate in code reviews, contribute to release planning, write test reports, and mentor junior engineers while following safety and ISO procedures.

Qualifications

• BS in software engineering with 3–6 years of experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontrollers and RTOS.
• Experience with debugging tools, low-level drivers, firmware development, and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software components with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to refining development processes and take ownership of small features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and NPI.
• Perform testing, analyze data, and create test reports to verify design and process.
• Support release planning and automate deployment where possible.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in 5S and safety standards.
