Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with ≥5 years of experience; Master’s with ≥3 years; PhD or equivalent experience.
• Experience with embedded software development and real‑time operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented design and programming, including design patterns and finite state machines.
• Hands‑on experience with C/C++/Java/Python.
• Knowledge of multithreading and preemptive thread scheduling.
• Experience with source control, modern software development cycles, root‑cause analysis, and networking fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with hardware, process, and cross‑functional engineering teams to design, develop, and support software control systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Implement new customer requirements and features in our existing application.
• Maintain and enhance existing code base by investigating and resolving problems.
• Demonstrate solutions through clear documentation, flowcharts, and well‑structured code.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and develop software programs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring for more junior engineers.
• Visit customer site to provide support; ability to travel (total <10%).
