Job summary
The Ash Group is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead real-time embedded software development in Sterling Heights, MI. You will design, implement, and test software for defense/aerospace systems, with a focus on C++ and object-oriented design.
Collaborate with software architects, manage schedules, and ensure cybersecurity considerations. Requires a Bachelor's in STEM and 4+ years of real-time embedded experience, or 2 years with a master's degree; onsite work only.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field is a must.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing; OR 2 years with a master’s degree.
- Experience providing technical direction to a team of developers.
- Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
- Working knowledge of EVMS and CMMI.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the software engineering lifecycle from estimation to range testing.
- Coordinate with Software Architect to meet customer requirements.
- Lead problem-solving to optimize system performance and cost.
- Ensure cybersecurity efforts are coordinated within the software domain.
- Monitor cost/schedule performance and provide corrective actions.
- Plan software project schedules and manage resources.
