Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Ohio to grow and deliver embedded software for PLCs within a hybrid home/office setting in Mayfield Heights. You will design, implement, and test safety- and security-critical software, collaborating on a cross-functional team and guiding junior engineers.

You will work with C++, Python, embedded RTOS/Linux, and modern tools while contributing to Agile programs and CI/CD practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety- and security-critical embedded software for new PLCs.
• Work across hardware/software environments from COTS to SoC architectures.
• Build and maintain automated tests for new and existing features.
• Promote CI/CD and tooling improvements across the global team.
• Mentor less experienced teammates and contribute to knowledge sharing.
