Job summary

HEPCO Inc. in Maple Grove, MN seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support munitions software development. You will design, develop, integrate and test embedded software with C++ in RTOS or bare-metal environments.

Responsibilities include requirements analysis, architecture, unit testing, and hardware/software integration, plus software safety, cybersecurity, and EVMS-related duties. Eligible for a Secret security clearance; health insurance and 401k offered.

Qualifications

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support munitions software development in Maple Grove, MN.

• Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for munitions programs.
• Develop object-oriented software using C++ in RTOS and/or bare-metal environments.
• Support requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, unit testing, hardware/software integration, and verification.
• Coordinate software safety, cybersecurity, configuration management, and quality-assurance activities.
• Review requirements and designs for alignment with customer and system-level requirements.
• Develop project schedules, estimates, metrics, and technical status reports.
• Monitor technical, cost, and schedule performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Support EVMS reporting, Control Accounts, Work Packages, and estimates at completion.
• Prepare for and participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and customer technical reviews.
• Coordinate internal and external engineering resources and communicate risks, issues, and opportunities to program leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with at least five years of related experience; master’s degree with three years; or Ph.D. with one year.
• Strong object-oriented design and embedded C++ development experience.
• Experience developing real-time applications using an RTOS and/or bare-metal environment.
• Knowledge of software engineering and development processes.
• Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
• Understanding of EVMS and Control Account Manager or Work Package Manager responsibilities.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Pay Range: $58.00- $63.00per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
