Job summary

Ultra Maritime seeks an experienced Software Engineer to join our team developing embedded software for airborne receivers and related legacy systems. You will define requirements, design and implement code, and test across both new and existing platforms, collaborating closely with Program Management and customer representatives.

The role emphasizes embedded Linux, DSP concepts, and hands-on troubleshooting, with occasional travel to test facilities. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical/Software engineering or similar.
• 6+ years of experience in software and embedded development for complex organizations.
• Excellent hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance (citizenship required).
• Embedded Linux experience.
• Experience with DSP concepts (A/D, D/A, filters).
• Experience with basic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, generators, logic/spectrum analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Provide embedded software development support to airborne receivers.
• Support development and maintenance of legacy code.
• Define requirements, design software, write code, test, and document efforts.
• Collaborate with Program Management, project team members, and customer representatives.
• Participate in bi-weekly software meetings.
• Occasional travel to offsite facilities.
• Perform other duties as required.
