Ultra Maritime in Victor, NY is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain embedded software for airborne receivers and related platforms. You will define requirements, design, code, test, and document, working with program management and customer reps.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in a related field and 6+ years of embedded software experience, including Embedded Linux and DSP concepts. U.S. security clearance eligibility is required and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar degree.
• 6+ years of experience in Software and Embedded software development and engineering for complex organizations.
• Excellent hardware/software troubleshooting skills and initiative to self-manage.
• Embedded Linux experience is required.
• Experience with DSP concepts including A/D, D/A, filters.

Responsibilities

• Provide embedded software development support for current and existing airborne receivers.
• Support new development and maintenance of legacy code.
• Define requirements, design software, write code, test, and document efforts.
• Collaborate with Program Management, project team members, and customer representatives.
• Participate in bi-weekly software meetings.
