Job summary

Axis Communications in Lund, Sweden is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join the PTZ product team, shaping software from idea to production and advancing toward a tech lead role. The role is on-site at our Lund HQ, working across Linux kernel and user space and collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers.

You will contribute to the software platform, guide feature delivery across the full lifecycle, and mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

Experience with C programming in a Linux environment.
Embedded systems and API development experience.
Experience in application development on embedded systems.
Engineering degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

Drive software development across the full product lifecycle from concept through hardware review, bring-up, software configuration, feature development, testing and production release.
Develop and maintain embedded software in Linux kernel space and user space.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical and mechanical engineering teams, owning software deliverables within projects.
Contribute to architectural decisions and improvements in the software platform.
Over time, mentor colleagues and guide the software direction toward a tech lead role.
