Job summary

Patrick Allen Group in Kent, WA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with a Linux/ Debian-based platform background to design, develop, and debug production-level code for embedded devices.

The role requires 7+ years in embedded software, a BS in CS/EE, strong C++11+ skills, and experience with RF/baseband drivers, Linux, and automated testing. On-site with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years embedded software development experience.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in C++11+ for low-level industrial applications.
• Strong C++ OO design and modern C++ practices.
• Experience with RF and baseband device drivers and signal processing.
• Experience on Linux platforms; Debian-based distributions preferred.
• Experience developing automated unit tests with SDETs/QA.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Write low level production code for industrial applications.
• Design, develop, and debug embedded devices.
• Contribute to taking a product to market.
• Participate in all lifecycle phases from design to release.
