Job summary

Patrick Industries, a major US manufacturer, seeks an Embedded Platform Engineer to lead platform development from hardware bring-up to production. You will own low-level software, Linux/Android integration, kernel and driver development, and system reliability across ARM/ARM64 platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware, systems, manufacturing, and product teams to deliver high-quality embedded products. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building embedded Linux systems and BSPs
• Strong experience with ARM/ARM64 architectures
• Proficient in low-level firmware and kernel/driver development
• Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, and Linux distros for embedded platforms
• Ability to lead embedded software projects and collaborate with hardware teams
• Familiarity with RTOS and Android platform integration is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded platform bring-up from initial power-on to production launch
• Develop boot software (U-Boot, ARM Trusted Firmware) and custom bootloaders
• Configure hardware init, memory, clocks, power, peripherals
• DDR/DRAM bring-up and stability validation
• Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers and vendors BSPs
• Integrate Android components and middleware for embedded systems
• Provide technical leadership and code reviews across teams
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams throughout product lifecycle
