Job summary

Digital Control Incorporated (DCI) seeks a Sr. Embedded Software Developer in Kent, WA to design, implement, and optimize embedded software for microprocessor-based systems. You will write production-level C++ code and participate in all lifecycle phases from design to release.

You will work with Linux (Debian preferred), SDETs/QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust products and take them to market. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of embedded software development.
• Strong experience with modern C++, 11 or higher.
• Experience developing on Linux OS, preferably Debian based.
• Develops, debugs, and optimizes embedded software in C for microprocessor-based systems.
• Experience developing automated unit tests and working with SDETs/QA.

Responsibilities

• Write production-level code for embedded devices.
• Design, develop, and debug on embedded hardware.
• Be part of taking a product to market.
• Participate in all project phases from design to release.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technical requirements.
