L3Harris Technologies in Camden, NJ is seeking an experienced embedded Software Engineer to develop device drivers, BSPs, and bootloaders for mission-critical systems. You will work across hardware-software interfaces and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications include DoD secret clearance, a BS or MS in Computer/EE or CS, 6+ years in software, with 4+ years in embedded drivers and Linux; strong C/C++, Rust, and communication skills.

Formación

• U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 6+ years experience in software development.
• At least 4+ years of experience developing and debugging drivers, BSPs, bootloaders, bare-metal applications, or other low-level development in embedded systems.
• Experience with development of embedded systems in C/C++, assembly, and/or Rust.
• Experience developing embedded Linux systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with safety or security critical systems (DO-178, ASIL-D)

Responsabilidades

• Develop device drivers and BSPs for custom embedded systems.
• Diagnose and debug complex hardware-software boundary issues.
• Develop software to test manufactured circuit boards and diagnose issues.
• Participate in peer reviews and repair defects.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to optimize interfaces and performance.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements, design, and verification.
• Investigate root causes and implement solutions, independently or in a team.
• Create software test plans and technical documentation.
