Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer proficient in Modern C++ and/or Rust to join our dynamic team in Palo Alto, California. The ideal candidate will contribute to cutting-edge systems, develop robust unit tests, and work on high-impact embedded software projects.

You should have over 6 years' experience in software engineering, particularly in embedded systems. The role offers a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $186K to $232.5K, performance bonuses, and equity options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on embedded systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems and real-time communication protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using Modern C++.
• Ensure code quality through comprehensive unit testing.
• Optimize performance in resource-constrained environments.

Skills

Proficient in Modern C++ (C++11 and above)

Experience with Rust

Strong understanding of operating system concepts

Knowledge of embedded databases, TCP/IP stack

Experience with build systems like Yocto

Education
