Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Autonomy) to join a multidisciplinary team focused on safety-critical embedded systems. You will develop, integrate, and test software across C/C++, Java, and Python for autonomous platforms and flight software.

Expect cross-functional collaboration with hardware and software teams across multiple sites, with travel as needed. The role requires 5+ years in embedded development, UAS/UAV experience, and an active Secret DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or CS or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software experience across C/C++, Java, Python.
• Experience with UAS/UAV operations and autonomous systems.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development.
• Active Secret DoD security clearance and 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test software for autonomy-focused projects.
• Collaborate in multi-site teams and with program peers and clients.
• Contribute to design reviews, testing, and documentation.
