Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and validate software across the flight systems stack. You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver reliable autonomous systems for mission-critical applications.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in systems programming with C++, Python, or Rust on Linux, including driver development and real-time considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/Math or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with C++, Python, or Rust and Linux-based development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous software systems for flight platforms.
• Develop, test, and validate software across the technology stack, from firmware to applications.
• Evaluate test results; debug hardware/software integrations and develop testing tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on hypersonic missile software capabilities.
• Lead major projects and occasionally travel to launch/customer sites for testing.
• Improve software standards and processes within the team.
