Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for our automotive client in Allen Park, MI. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of embedded design and development, with experience in Embedded C, MATLAB, integration, testing, diagnostics, and CAN in an automotive background.

This role involves working with cross‑functional teams, defining software architectures, implementing tests, and applying modern practices such as CI/CD and security. Rate range: $42/hr to $50/hr.

Qualifications

6+ years in IT with 4+ years in development.
Engineer 3: 2 languages or advanced in 1 language.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to understand use-cases and requirements.
Design, develop, and deliver software using various tools and frameworks.
Define and implement software test strategy and processes.
Create high-level software architecture designs outlining structure and interfaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product owners, designers, architects).
Work on continuous improvement of performance and development efficiency.
Support security practices to safeguard user data.
