Amazon Leo in Redmond, WA is seeking a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to validate antenna systems and power our satellite ground infrastructure.

You will join the team responsible for the software backbone that enables distributed systems, automation, and hardware collaboration. The role focuses on developing embedded software for phased array antennas, designing scalable architectures, and building test automation frameworks to validate complex systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Phased Array Antenna units deployed to space.
• Design architecture of embedded software for scalable hardware testing.
• Build flexible test automation frameworks for antenna systems at scale.
• Create developer tools and APIs to accelerate hardware bring-up and system characterization.
• Develop simulation and modeling tools for efficient software integration testing.
• Automate firmware deployment to system configuration and validation.
• Collaborate across disciplines with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware teams.
