Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead architecture, implementation, and verification of safety-critical embedded software for SPS sensing products in aerospace. The role requires DO-178C compliance, model-based design with SCADE, and collaboration with Systems, Hardware, Test, and Manufacturing teams throughout development.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years embedded software in real-time or safety-critical env.
• Sensor-based or mixed-signal embedded systems experience preferred.
• BA/BS in Software/CE/EE or related eng discipline; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize embedded software in C/C++ for SPS sensing products.
• Implement firmware for signal conditioning, calibration, filtering, data acquisition, and mixed-signal control.
• Use Python, Assembly, and DXL; create and integrate SCADE models and code generation workflows.
• Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability using IBM DOORS.
• Use IBM EWM for configuration management and change control.
• Conduct static/dynamic analysis with LDRA TQD; support DO-178C certification activities.
