Ursa Major, Denver-based, seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain flight software powering engines, vehicles, and avionics. You will join a small, high-impact team focused on reliability, safety, and performance in aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of embedded C/C++ development for ARM, SoC, or FPGA softcore platforms.
• Hands-on experience with hardware interface programming (timers, interrupts, communication protocols, ADCs, etc).
• Proficiency reading schematics and debugging with hardware tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative settings, managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for avionics throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain ground support software tools and systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and deliver new software features.
• Document designs, code, and procedures to ensure maintainability and compliance.
• Debug, optimize, and support software and hardware integration efforts.
