Job summary

Aegis Search Ltd in Reston/Herndon, VA is seeking an experienced embedded engineer to work hands-on with C on Linux, developing drivers for multiple I/O interfaces on a flight computer project.

You will work close to hardware, have autonomy, and may act as a technical lead while mentoring junior engineers. The base salary ranges from $160k to $180k and the role is full-time on site in Herndon, Virginia.

Job description

You’ll be a hands on embedded engineer, working primarily with C on Linux, writing drivers across a variety if I/O interfaces, and working on a flight computer project. You’ll be working close to the hardware, and will be trusted by management to work autonomously and create solutions to the technical challenges yourself.

You wont be siloed – there is a number of different projects for you to work on, encompassing driver development, flight software, and the hardware in the loop test systems that they use.

You will have the opportunity to act as a technical lead, whilst mentoring junior engineers. They have clear career paths for engineer who want to stay hands on, and for those who are interested in management.

The base salary for this role is in the region of $160k – $180k, and the role is based full time on site in Herndon, Virginia.
