Job summary

The Boeing Company in Long Beach, CA seeks a Software Chief Architect - AvionX to lead the AvionX Software team, owning coherence and DO-178C/LOR compliance of software architectures across airborne programs.

The role provides technical leadership across embedded software engineering, systems integration, and regulatory strategy, coordinating with Enterprise Software Engineering for best practices across AvionX programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 15+ years of C/C++ programming experience.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with DO-178 high DAL certification.
• 3+ years of Matlab/Simulink experience.

Responsibilities

• Advises management on embedded software engineering topics.
• Directs design, development, testing and maintenance of embedded software.
• Ensures DO-178C/LOR compliance across software architectures.
