Job summary

Ambiq is seeking a Sr. Staff Embedded Software Engineer (Security) for on-site work in NW Austin. You will lead MCU software, Secure Bootrom/Bootloader, and SDK security features for Apollo SoC.

Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, and applications teams, and contribute to pre-/post-silicon testing and cryptographic operations. A successful candidate will have 8+ years in embedded projects, strong C/C++, Python, and security expertise, with potential for growth into a people-lead

Qualifications

• BS/MS in EE/CE/CS; 8+ years embedded experience.
• Strong ARM/RTOS knowledge; low-level drivers.
• Security expertise: Secure Boot, PKI, encryption, TrustZone.
• Familiar with debugging tools and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for MCU software features.
• Potential path to a team leadership role.
• Collaborate across Design, Architecture, Verification, Applications to implement security features.
• Lead testing of pre-silicon and post-silicon work.
• Develop HAL/BSP for the SDK and maintain Secure Boot components.
