Job summary

SPAN is seeking a Senior Embedded Security Engineer to strengthen security across our hardware product line. You will architect cryptographic services, secure boot, OTA updates, and root-of-trust with HSMs/TPMs while hardening Linux-based systems.

The role demands 6+ years in hardware security, proficiency in C/C++, Rust, and Python, and hands-on experience with TPMs/HSMs and Yocto Linux. Join us in building a safer energy future.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in hardware security or embedded systems.
• Experience with TPMs/HSMs hardware security.
• Proficient in C/C++, Rust and Python for secure software.
• OS security at the OS level; Linux/POSIX.
• Bare-metal firmware security and systems engineering.
• Experience with Yocto Linux building custom distributions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop cryptographic services and security components.
• Implement secure boot flows for device/firmware integrity.
• Design secure OTA update systems with signing and anti-rollback.
• Integrate security provisioning into factory manufacturing.
• Establish root-of-trust architectures using HSMs/TPMs.
• Secure debug architectures against unauthorized access.
• Harden Linux/POSIX to reduce attack surface.
• Prototype new security features and test improvements.
