Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Embedded Systems Security Engineer for a 100% onsite role. Requires DoD Secret clearance to join our Systems Security team developing secure sensor payloads and mission security solutions across hardware and software domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master’s with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year in STEM related fields; additional 4 years may substitute degree
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Current/active DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain/maintain SAP access prior to start
• 2 years of system engineering experience with DoD platforms/sensors/sub-systems
• 2 years of requirements development, derivation, system integration & test
• 2 years of Anti-tamper, Reverse Engineering and/or Risk Management Framework and Cyber Resiliency

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with government policies (JSIG, DAAPM) by reviewing tailoring needs and approving procedures
• Conduct analyses to validate security requirements and add safeguards as needed
• Support formal Security Test and Evaluation processes with pre-test prep, testing and reporting
• Document findings from assessments and maintain Security Plans and POA&M
• Oversee system/exportability analyses ensuring compliance with international standards
• Collaborate with program teams to incorporate international requirements into design processes
• Demonstrate full life-cycle development including design, testing, and verification practices
• Engage in strategic planning for cybersecurity technology development
