Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Principal Systems Security Engineer to lead security engineering for sensor payloads and secure mission solutions for EOIR/RFEW systems. The role emphasizes Anti-Tamper and Cybersecurity across hardware and software, with emphasis on government compliance and secure development practices.

This full-time, on-site position requires active security clearances and experience across the entire system life cycle, from architecture through verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics with experience; OR Master’s in STEM with less experience; OR PhD with minimal experience.
• Two years of Systems Engineering experience with DoD platforms/sensors.
• Experience in Anti-Tamper or Cybersecurity, risk management, and system security integration.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate full life cycle Systems Engineering in Anti-Tamper or Cybersecurity, including design, trade studies, and testing.
• Support hardware/software Anti-Tamper and CyberSecurity implementations to protect assets.
• Ensure compliance with US Government policies (JSIG, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253) and conduct security testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with US Government and program teams for export compliance and Red Team requirements.
• Prepare Security Plans, POA&Ms, and document assessment efforts.
