Job summary

Neara is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in St. Louis, MO, to lead firmware development for our autonomous battery-electric railcars. This full-time, on-site position offers a salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 per year along with equity.

The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in embedded software development, particularly in motor control systems, and will mentor junior engineers in a collaborative environment that prioritizes innovation and safety.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ on RTOS platforms.
• Experience in developing motor-control firmware.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ECU firmware architecture.
• Develop real-time C/C++ firmware for embedded systems.
• Lead hardware bring-up and debugging efforts.
• Define and execute test plans for firmware.
