Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Lead Engineer to establish, lead, and mature QA practices for embedded firmware, mobile apps, and PC software.

You will define testing strategies, drive QA standards, implement automated frameworks, and collaborate with software, systems, and program management to deliver reliable products meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software QA for embedded systems and/or application software
• 2+ years in QA leadership, test engineering, or technical supervision preferred
• Experience establishing or scaling QA processes and teams preferred
• Experience with embedded firmware testing and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing preferred
• Experience with military, aerospace, or other regulated program testing preferred
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD integration preferred
• Security clearance desired or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the software quality assurance function, including defining QA processes, standards, and best practices
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for embedded firmware, mobile applications, and PC-based software
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and test infrastructure
• Lead requirements review and analysis to ensure testability and quality
• Perform and oversee test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting
• Establish and maintain requirements traceability and test coverage metrics
• Support hardware-software integration testing and system-level validation
• Develop and maintain test documentation including test plans, test procedures, test reports, and quality metrics
• Ensure compliance with site quality management system requirements and applicable regulatory requirements
• Interface with software subcontractors and external partners to ensure quality deliverables
• Prepare and deliver quality reports, metrics, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor and develop QA team members; participate in hiring process as we scale the QA organization
• Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, lessons learned, and process optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to achieve enterprise and departmental quality goals
