Job summary

Applied Intuition in Sunnyvale is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer for the NextGen OS team to build the OS stack for future vehicles. You will develop an embedded firmware platform and RTOS using Rust and Pigweed, and help shape early architectural decisions.

You will work on safety‑critical embedded software, integrate the Rust toolchain into our CI/CD, and collaborate with Pigweed pw_kernel on internal hardware.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years embedded devices experience.
• Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ and assembly languages.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS, Linux, and/or ARM systems.
• Debugging skills in real world environments.

Responsibilities

• Build a modern, safety-certified Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and embedded platform.
• Work with Pigweed developers on pw_kernel to complete it and bring it up on internal hardware platforms.
• Integrate the Rust toolchain into our CI/CD pipeline.
• Architect and develop highly reliable embedded software.
