Job summary

Snowrelic Inc. in the United States seeks an Embedded Linux Engineer to bring up Qualcomm Android BSP on the SM4450 device and integrate it with the hardware.

You will configure and patch Android Common Kernel (ACK/GKI), work on device trees, bootloader, AVB, partitions and OTA, and integrate vendor HALs and binaries for GPU, camera and crypto. Strong skills in Linux kernel, C/C++, Soong/Make, and debugging are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Android BSP bring-up on Qualcomm Snapdragon (SM4450, SM6xxx or similar).
• Strong Linux Kernel, Device Trees, Android Drivers/HAL, Treble and GKI knowledge.
• Strong C and C++.
• Ability to read hardware schematics.
• QPST, QFIL, Trace32 (Lauterbach).
• Kernel debugging using ramdumps and serial logs.
• Android build systems: Soong, Make and vendor image packaging.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Qualcomm SM4450 Android 16 BSP with the device hardware and reproduce the current Android 14 build.
• Configure and patch Android Common Kernel (ACK/GKI) and device trees.
• Bring up bootloader, AVB, partition layout, A/B updates and OTA.
• Integrate vendor HALs and proprietary binaries for GPU, camera, crypto and other components.
• Manage Qualcomm support cases and apply Qualcomm kernel fixes.
• Debug boot failures, kernel panics, thermal issues and battery drain.
