Job summary

Digital Links Inc. seeks an Embedded Linux Engineer to bring up Qualcomm Android BSPs on SM4450 devices and integrate with hardware. The role covers bootloader, kernel, device trees, and vendor binaries, ensuring OTA and A/B updates work smoothly.

You will debug boot issues, kernel panics, power and thermal concerns, and collaborate on driver and HAL integration for GPU, camera, cryptography, and other subsystems.

Qualifications

• Experience bringing up Android BSP on Qualcomm Snapdragon devices.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, device trees, Android drivers/HAL, Treble and GKI.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Ability to read hardware schematics.
• Experience with QPST, QFIL, and Trace32.
• Experience with kernel debugging using ramdumps and serial logs.
• Experience with Android build systems (Soong, Make).

Responsibilities

Role Overview

Responsible for bringing up Qualcomm Android 16 BSP on the SM4450 device and integrating the platform with the device hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate Qualcomm SM4450 Android 16 BSP with the device hardware and reproduce the current Android 14 build.
• Configure and patch Android Common Kernel (ACK/GKI) and device trees.
• Bring up bootloader, AVB, partition layout, A/B updates and OTA.
• Integrate vendor HALs and proprietary binaries for GPU, camera, crypto and other components.
• Manage Qualcomm support cases and apply Qualcomm kernel fixes.
• Debug boot failures, kernel panics, thermal issues and battery drain.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands‑on Android BSP bring‑up on Qualcomm Snapdragon (SM4450, SM6xxx or similar).
• Strong Linux Kernel, Device Trees, Android Drivers/HAL, Treble and GKI knowledge.
• Strong C and C++.
• Ability to read hardware schematics.
• QPST, QFIL, Trace32 (Lauterbach).
• Kernel debugging using ramdumps and serial logs.
• Android build systems: Soong, Make and vendor image packaging.

Preferred Skills

• SM4450 / Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 experience.
• Experience upgrading a device across two Android versions.
• Vendor-layer SELinux policy experience.
• Power/thermal tuning using Perfetto or Qualcomm power tools.

Senior requirement: At least one engineer should have 8+ years' experience and a full Snapdragon bring‑up.
