Job summary

Donatech Corporation in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an embedded Linux engineer with deep experience in device drivers and board bring-up. You will contribute to design, coding, testing, and support across the build toolchain, kernel, root filesystem, bootloader, and BSP for diverse hardware boards.

The role requires US citizenship, an active Final Secret security clearance, and at least 3–5 years in embedded Linux driver development, with proficiency in C/C++, scripting (Bash/Python), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• An active U.S. government issued Final Secret Security Clearance is required
• A minimum of 3 years professional experience with embedded Linux device drivers
• Proficiency with embedded C/C++
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash and Python)
• Experience with board bring-up and target hardware integration
• Experience with debugging and root cause investigations using hardware schematics and tools such as logic analyzer and Wireshark

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all applicable Client Engineering Development and Quality processes, procedures, instructions and guidelines
• Participate in Agile team meetings and planning activities, as required to support programs covered by this work plan
• Contribute to the design, coding, testing, delivery and ongoing support for embedded Linux software systems in areas such as build toolchain, kernel, root filesystem, bootloader, device drivers, and BSP for a wide variety of hardware boards
• Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware-software issues.
• Management of change request and task assignments through Jira
