Job summary

Entegee is seeking onsite Sr. Embedded C/C++ Linux Software Engineers in Cedar Rapids, IA to join defense-focused programs. You will contribute to embedded Linux BSP, board bring-up, and device driver development across multiple hardware boards while adhering to Agile SDLC and security requirements.

The role requires active U.S. government Final Secret security clearance and a strong background in C/C++, Linux, Python/Bash scripting, and hardware integration.

Qualifications

• Require MSCS/BSCE with STEM emphasis and 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3 years, or 9 years without a degree
• Active U.S. government Final Secret clearance required
• Minimum 3 years professional embedded Linux experience: drivers, BSP, board bring-up
• Proficiency with embedded C/C++ and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Experience with hardware integration, debugging and root cause analysis using schematics and scope/tools

Responsibilities

• Develop and support embedded Linux software systems: BSP, board bring-up, device drivers, kernel and root filesystem
• Contribute to build toolchains, bootloaders, and hardware integration for various boards
• Perform root cause analysis on hardware-software issues and participate in Agile SDLC
• Manage changes and tasks via JIRA
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments

ONSITE Sr. Embedded C/C++ Linux Software Engineers (Aerospace) in Cedar Rapids, IA

***MUST have an active SECRET (or higher level) DoD clearance***

PROJECT SCOPE:

• Your work will contribute to the development of cutting-edge defense solutions across Mission Systems, leveraging your expertise developing and supporting embedded Linux Board Support Package (BSP), Board Bring-Up, and Linux device driver development.
• Adhere to all applicable our Agile SDLC and Quality processes, procedures, instructions and guidelines
• Participate in Agile team meetings and planning activities, as required to support programs covered by this work plan
• Contribute to the design, coding, testing, delivery and ongoing support for embedded Linux software systems in areas such as build toolchain, kernel, root filesystem, bootloader, device drivers, and BSP for a wide variety of hardware boards
• Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware-software issues.
• Management of change request and task assignments through JIRA

REQUIREMENTS:

• MSCS/BSCE degree (Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• MUST have an active U.S. government issued Final Secret Security Clearance is required
• A minimum of 3 years professional experience with embedded Linux device drivers, BSP, and/or Board Bring-Up
• Proficiency with embedded C/C++
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash and Python)
• Experience with board bring-up and target hardware integration
• Experience with debugging and root cause investigations using hardware schematics and tools such as logic analyzer and Wireshark

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

• Experience with GIT and SVN subversion version control systems
• Experience packaging custom Linux distribution with Buildroot
• Development experience SDLC, Agile methodologies and DevSecOps
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
