Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and integrate next‑generation devices. You will work with customers, architects, PMs, and hardware engineers to implement and troubleshoot kernel drivers and BSPs for embedded Linux platforms.

You will develop real‑time firmware and Linux software that enforces platform security controls, mentor teammates, and contribute to system-level programming across drivers, networks, and OS frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team.
• Strong background in embedded C/C++ and Linux kernel software.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain C/C++ code for embedded systems.
• Debug kernel drivers, BSP, and OS framework integrations.
• Develop and maintain low-level embedded software including drivers and network components.
• Port and test software layers within the Linux kernel and platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and review code/designs.
